Government has become separated from the consent of the governed. It seems like no matter which half of the two-party system we vote for, we get the same results. At Neighbors, we think it’s time to quit out-sourcing the job of selecting candidates for public office to any national political party. It’s time to revert to self-government. Is that going to be more work? Sure, but some of us think that freedom is worth it. If you agree, here’s how you can help….
We are looking for candidates with the values of honesty, integrity, humility, and a willingness to listen. If you know someone who you feel would make a better state legislator or county official than what you have now, and you are willing to help get them elected, then we invite you to make a citizen nomination for that office. No self-nominations or seconds please.
DISCLAIMER: We don’t mean to imply that any person you nominate will be placed on the ballot for public office under the Neighbors ticket. Nominees will be considered, but this is not a guarantee that they will be our candidate.
